Esosa Edosomwan is an actress/writer/"directress" on the rise. She has been a vegan for 10 years and is the host of the talk show Healthy Living in a Toxic World.
 


Esosa's talented background includes her playing the role of Malady in the hit New York City production, "Platanos & Collard Greens" in addition to various roles in another play written by David Lamb, "Auction Block to Hip-Hop." Additional film credits include: the role of Cher in an independent short film, "Lark & Cher," directed by Miles Maker which premiered on the BET J "Best Shorts" program, as well as the role of Carl Stokes in Kevin Everson's short film, "Emergency Needs" which screened at the MOMA and has screen in the Whitney Museum Bi-Centennial.

 

 

In addition to her filmmaking abilities, Esosa has made a name for herself as a model. She has been featured in publications such as: Essence Magazine, Blackbook, L Magazine, style.com and on the promotional materials for independent designers such as Zulema Griffin from Bravo's "Project Runway," Harriet's Alter Ego, Ambiguous ArtJewelry, Idyllic Couture, John Ashford Shoes, and TBA Clothing.

 


Esosa has received several awards since the beginning of her career, including a 2008Brooklyn Arts ReGrant, the Frances E. Williams Artist Grant in 2007, and the Heermans-McCalmon Playwriting Award for her one act play "VIVIAN X" in 2005.
