Confessions of a 20 Something: 99 and a Half Won't Do
July 12, 2010By Ana Guthrie

What if you nearly caught the bus to that job interview? You almost got the minimum MCAT Exam score requiredto enter your dream medical school. You were this close to meeting with that benefactor who could sponsor your business idea.

Nearly. Almost. This close.

There are times when opportunities escape us. Or when we don't make the mark.

Aren't you thrilled, though, that our God cherishes do-overs? Thankfully, there'salways a chance to rectify things with God.Is forgiveness automatic? Yes. Does your life turn around right away? No. The clean up starts only after we develop a heart filled with passion for Him.

Allow Jesusto invade your world. Then sincerely and authentically adopta desire tobe humanwhile being as close to sinlessness as possible, to love the thingsGod loves andhate the things He hates.Only then do we transform.

Let's press in, y'all.

Let's chaseGod the way we do those lucrative jobs, or our business ventures or fill in the blank. Give God your besteach day because nearly, almost, and beingthis closewon't getus into heaven.

There's an old songthat goes, "Lord, I'm running...trying to make a hundred...'cause 99 and a half won't do." Listen here.

God wants us to dare to be sold-out.

If it kills us…let us be proud sell-outs.

Revelation 3:16, 19 "So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. ... be zealous and repent."

I am Souled Out
Posted By MINISTER on July 29, 2010
This is such a great way to get the message out about the importance and urgency of being "sold out" to Jesus. I am going to share it with our youth choir as we are now working on Hezekiah Walker's song, "I am Souled Out."
YOur article brings it home in layman's terms and now there should be no doubts or questions about what it means to be sold out to the Lord!
God Bless you
